Hi! My name is Mary Strong and I am a 19-year-old American from Boston, Massachusetts. Currently I am a Freshman at the Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland and I am studying for my Bachelor’s in International Relations. My favourite subjects are languages and politics, and I am a native speaker of English. I am also fluent in German because I have studied abroad in Germany and Austria, and Italian, because I have studied abroad in Italy, and I am an intermediate speaker of Russian and French. I am very open to new cultures, thanks to my many experiences abroad, and I love to travel and learn about different people and their lifestyles. My hobbies include sports, reading, and dancing, and I am a member of several acting groups at my university. I also love to go to the beach, go to the movies, go shopping, and do just about anything! I love to cook and I'm willing to do housework and do laundry. I am a friendly and out-going person, and I get along especially well with children between 2-16 years of age, but I am open to taking care of children at any age. I’ve travelled all over Europe and I adapt easily to new situations and cultures so I would be able to seamlessly fit into your lifestyle! I would love to teach your children English and I know both American and British English. I'm very easy-going and mature and I would love to have the experience of living with you and taking care of your children!

I'm fun, outgoing, nice, mature, self-sufficient, friendly, smart, and organised but flexible! I love having fun and I get along really well with people, especially kids!

I've had casual experience as a babysitter before and I would really like to be an Au Pair. I had 7 Au Pairs when I was growing up so I have a very good idea of the responsibilites and duties of an Au Pair. I took care of my two host sisters, aged 3 and 8, when I lived in Italy and that included: taking them to school 3-4 times a week and picking them up from school, taking them to the park during the afternoon, making meals occasionally, and taking care of them on weekends when my host parents wanted a night out to themselves. I also have taken care of my younger brother, who is 17, for a long time. When we were younger, I would take care of him in the afternoons after school while our parents were at work. I would bring him home, make sure he did his homework, cook him dinner, and make sure he did his chores.

I really want to discover a new country and learn more about the people that live there, and I love taking care of children, so I would love to be an Au Pair and work for you!
